Growing up in North Carolina, Taylor’s life was heavily influenced by her parents and gospel artists such as, Fred Hammond, the Clark Sisters, William Murphy, John P. Kee and LaShun Pace.
Taylor started singing at the age of 3. Taylor expressed her love for God and music by becoming an active member of her church choir serving as a choir director and vocal coach while still an adolescent. At the tender age of 8, she came face to face with her first taste of stardom when she graced the stage with the legendary singer Pastor Shirley Caesar.
Adoring the way she was able to captivate through song, Taylor enriched herself in every opportunity possible which included studying Music Education at Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh, NC and quickly becoming known throughout the state as a must-see artist.
Not only a dynamic singer, she is also a praised songwriter, award-winning choir director and a skilled musician.  Taylor has been chosen to sing background as well as sing along side such artist as, Jeff Major and the Scared Voices, James Fortune, Karen Clark Sheard, Boyz II Men, Fred Hammond, Byron Cage, Dr. Bobby Jones, Professor James Hall, Twinkie Clark, Ivan Powell, Doobie Powell, Dorinda Clark Cole, Earnest Pugh, Pastor Shirley Caesar and the late Rev. Timothy Wright.  In July 2008, Taylor was given the opportunity to minister as the Praise and Worship leader at the 2008 Ephesians 4 Conference in Houston, TX hosted by Kim Burrell. October 9, 2010 Taylor was a nominee for the Black Essence Award from her television premier on the Word Network, the Bishop Greg Davis show.Taylor has also appeared on other television networks such as Atlanta Live and TCT.

In December 2010, Shea was blessed by God with the opportunity to sign a national recording contract with Black Smoke Worldwide.  Look for her first CD release later in 2011.

Through her ministry, Shea Taylor wishes to minister effectively to the hearts of people who have been scarred mentally, physically and emotionally, to encourage them that God is the greatest power and above Him there is no other.
